Northwestern Boys’ Soccer team won its final regular season game vs. High Point H.S. 3 to 1 in a very intense game from start to finish. The game was very emotional with one player from High Point getting injured during the final point scored during the game. Congratulations to the coaching staff with this victory as we move into post season play next week, we need to keep this momentum going to Divisional Championships. As we move into the final week of competition, our Lady Wildcats are in good position for postseason play. The girls will travel to Bowie High School to take on the Lady Bulldogs at 3 pm. The Lady Wildcats come back on Thursday, October 20, 2016, for a make-up game versus High Point for their final home game of regular season. On Friday, October 21, 2016, the Lady Wildcats will travel to Central for their final game of regular season play. Listed below are the team standings as of October 16, 2016.

Boys soccer had a rocky middle but are coming off a great victory over Gwynn Park on Thursday night as we move to the final week of play. The Wildcats will host Bowie on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 3 pm and travel to High Point on Thursday for their final game of the regular season. This game will begin at 5 pm because the Eagles will be recognizing their seniors. Listed below are the team standings standings as of October 16, 2016.

The winter season is right around the corner! Do you have everything you need to participate? The sports for the winter are:

If you need to pick up paperwork, please stop by Ms. Dendy’s office [J122] across from the weight room.

On Monday, November 14, 2016, Northwestern will host it’s first “Meet the Coach Night.” Please plan to sit down with the Assistant Principal of Athletics, Mr. Christopher Burrows, the Athletic Director, Ms. Terri Dendy, and all the coaches to discuss the expectations of Athletics at Northwestern High School. This day will be a day to ask questions of the coaches during the individual breakout sessions after the general overview. The event will begin at 6:00 pm and end promptly at 8 pm. If your son or daughter would like to become a member of any of the teams listed above, please come out and join us for the wonderful occasion. Light refreshments will be served.
