As our season comes to a somber end, the coaching staff would like to present the final recap for our Outdoor Track Program… Although everyone did not qualify for MPSSAA State Championships, we do have 1 Wildcat who did advance: Mr. Lance Da Silva – our sophomore finished 3rd in the shot put and 5th in the discus… both events he set a PR – Personal Record – for his efforts.
Lance will represent Northwestern in the Shot Put on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Morgan State University. Please congratulate Lance on his accomplishments and wish his luck in his upcoming competition… This is also his first time competing in track & field – Football is his first love!

The bracket is in for Softball!!! Our Lady Wildcats have the #2 seed going into the MPSSAA Playoffs. As a result, we have a bye the first round. We will play the winner of the High Point/Duval game on Monday, May 15, 2017. The game will be begin at 4 pm. Please make sure you come out to cheer our Lady Wildcats onto VICTORY!!!
As we approach the end of regular season play, our Lady Wildcats are in 3rd position in our League. We have a doubleheader today, May 3, 2017 vs. Central and 1 more make-up game vs. Fairmont Heights on Monday, May 8th, 2017 [My Birthday]!! The ladies will travel to Fairmont. We hope that you will be able to come out and cheer us onto victory!
The seeding will take place on May 9, 2017, with our first Sectional Quarterfinals on May 11, 2017. The rain date is May 12… LET’S GO WILDCATS!!
As we approach our final regular season game TODAY, our boys and girls lacrosse program are number one seed in our 4A Section. The boys will host Wise at 5:15 pm and our girls will travel to Wise for a 7:30 pm night game. This is also the senior game for the Boys Lacrosse. So we would love for you to come out and support us…
With the girls playing a later game tonight, you could cheer both programs onto victory!!
The Lady Wildcats played phenomenally on Friday, November 4, 2016 vs. DuVal as they defeated the Lady Tigers 3-1. The first match DuVal was victorious however we were determined to press forward. The first set was close 22 – 25, we had some costly mishaps but we played with authority; despite the lost. The next set we took a commanding lead and never let up winning 25-8. Set 3 we captivated the crowd with a 25-14 victory and closed out the final set with a 25-14 win. Our next game we travel to High Point to take on the Lady Eagles. As we move forward to the next round, we look hopeful. The game will be played on Monday, November 7, 2016. Time still to be determined. Please check our website for more details
As we move into the final week of competition, our Lady Wildcats are in good position for postseason play. The girls will travel to Bowie High School to take on the Lady Bulldogs at 3 pm. The Lady Wildcats come back on Thursday, October 20, 2016, for a make-up game versus High Point for their final home game of regular season. On Friday, October 21, 2016, the Lady Wildcats will travel to Central for their final game of regular season play. Listed below are the team standings as of October 16, 2016.
Boys soccer had a rocky middle but are coming off a great victory over Gwynn Park on Thursday night as we move to the final week of play. The Wildcats will host Bowie on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 3 pm and travel to High Point on Thursday for their final game of the regular season. This game will begin at 5 pm because the Eagles will be recognizing their seniors. Listed below are the team standings standings as of October 16, 2016.
